金沢大学整形外科スポーツ整形外科研究室ではこれまでに、「スポーツによるケガの治療」と同様に「スポーツによるケガの予防」に注目して調査・研究を行ってきました。

平成21年から26年には北陸3県の高校女子バスケットボール部とハンドボール部の選手及び指導者の方々にご協力いただき「膝前十字靭帯損傷の危険因子に関する調査」を行いました。その結果、着地時に膝が内側に入る選手やバランス能力が低い選手が前十字靭帯を損傷しやすく、それらを予防トレーニングで改善する必要があると分かりました。

また、毎年、春の全国中学生ハンドボール大会に出場した選手や指導者の方々を対象として「スポーツによるケガの予防」や「現場が求めている予防トレーニングの内容」などに関するアンケートを行ってきました。その結果、予防トレーニングを普及させ、継続してもらうためには、1）ウォームアップとして行えること。2）1回約20分で行えること。3）パフォーマンスが向上すること。などが必須項目であることが分かりました。

さらに、効果的な予防プログラムを作成するために、世界中で最も普及し、有効性が報告されている予防トレーニングの一つである「FIFA 11+」を対象として、様々な科学的検証（ポジトロン断層撮影、筋力測定、バランス能力測定など）を行いました。その結果、予防トレーニングにおいて注目すべき筋肉を同定し、パフォーマンスも向上する可能性を見いだしました。これらの結果を踏まえ「金大整形ウォームアップトレーニング」のメニューを作り出しました。

我々の「スポーツによるケガの予防」に関する研究成果の集大成である「Ready for Play –金大整形トレ–」を、より多くのスポーツ選手・指導者の方々が知ることができ、実践できるようにするためには、皆さんが手軽に情報を得られることが重要と考え、プログラム内容を「アプリ」にいたしました。

　「Ready for Play」では、ストレッチや基本動作を多く取り入れました。間違った姿勢や癖を改善し、「美しい」フォームで行うことが重要です。さらに、日本独自の文化である「裸足」や「相撲」に注目した動作も取り入れて、「日本人向け」に作成しております。

この「Ready for Play」によって、スポーツによるケガで苦しむ選手が一人でも減り、大好きなスポーツを笑顔で続けられることを願ってやみません。

最後に、これまでの調査・研究・アプリ作成にご協力いただいた非常に多くの選手・指導者の方々、整形外科医や理学療法士にこの場を借りて深く御礼申し上げます。
