Longshot – Long Range Shooting Simulator and Mil Dot Scope Ranging Practice – Guidance Technologies

Description

Practice hitting long range shots under varying and realistic conditions. This simulator is not a simple shoot ’em up game. This app uses realistic ballistics to help rifle shooters understand and practice the use of the mil-dot scope, and visualize how different conditions affect bullet performance.

This app features a 24x mil-dot second focal plane scope. Like the real thing, the reticle is scaled to the maximum zoom.

Features:

• Fully functional mil-dot scope. Practice ranging and adjusting for windage and elevation. How quick and how accurate can you be? More reticles coming.

• Realistic ballistics. Use data from your favorite ammunition or custom loads. If you don’t know them, check the manufacturer’s web site or ammo box. You can also use your favorite ballistic calculator like JBM or tools like Mildot Master to help you.

• Lots of conditions. Have you ever tried to make a 600 yard shot with a 30 mph crosswind? What about a 10 mph moving target? Try it here.

• Use your own targets. Use photos from your camera roll, either ones you download off the internet.

• Randomizer. Try your skills at randomly generated conditions. How many hits with your first shot can you get in a row?

More features and scopes coming soon!

Though this is not a long range ballistic calculator, it is extremely close to many serious tools such as the gold standard JBM. You can use these tools to help you make your shots.
