Pressure is the ratio of the force distributed over a particular active surface to that area. In other words, the pressure is the amount of force per unit area acting in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the object. It is also a physical quantity indicating the effect of pressure action (deformation effect). In the International System of Units, the unit of pressure is Pascal, referred to as Pa (which is named after the French scientist Pascal Blaise pascal), which is Newton/square meter. Common units of pressure are kilopascals, kilograms per square centimeter, and support. It is usually indicated by the English letter “Pa”.
