This is not the tenth app reminding you to check-in on time or which gate your flight will depart from. It’s not the frequent flyer app telling you the current waiting times at the security check. And for the best bargains at the airport, there’s another app, too.
This one focusses on your travel history: it’s all about keeping track of where on this planet you have traveled to, and helping you and your friends remember and re-live the great times you had doing so.
The key feature of the app is the map – YOUR map to be precise. It comes to life when you add your trips – the countries you visited will be auto-highlighted, and you can choose the color – or give each country its own one!
The best thing: you don’t even have to type in anything to add your travels to the app: just open an entirely free TripIt account on tripit.com, forward your booking confirmation e-mails to plans@tripit.com, and your map will start growing instantaneously!

– Detailed statistics views: find out how much, long, far you traveled – how often did you circle the planet or go to the moon yet, actually?
– “Top 10”: find out what’s your top country, city, carrier, year, month etc. by various dimensions such as the number of flights or time spent up in the air
