La Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, con el objetivo de facilitar la comunicación entre los centros educativos y las familias a través de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, está modernizando la gestión académica y administrativa de los centros docentes mediante el proyecto ITACA (Innovación Tecnológica Administrativa para Centros y Alumnos).

Este servicio ofrece la posibilidad de consultar notas, faltas, retrasos, comportamientos, avisos de tutores y actividades complementarias a través de Internet. También se ofrece el servicio de notificación de calificaciones o avisos a través del correo electrónico.

Para tener acceso a esta información es necesario ser alumnado mayor de edad o en el caso del alumnado menor de edad ser madre, padre, tutor/a legal del alumno/a y darse de alta en este servicio. Para eso, deberá presentar la correspondiente solicitud en el centro educativo donde se encuentre formalizada la matrícula del alumno/a. En el caso del alumnado menor de edad, la solicitud puede realizarse por uno o ambos padres o tutores; en ese caso, cada uno de ellos deberá rellenar y entregar en el centro el impreso de la solicitud.
