Tab to Notes makes guitar tabs accessible to all musicians by converting guitar tablature into a functional music notation which displays the notes of a guitar tab. Whether you want to play a guitar riff on the piano, saxophone or violin, this app enables musicians from all backgrounds to access the melodies in guitar tabs.
Simply copy and paste a tab from the millions of free guitar tabs online into the app and press ‘Convert Tab’. Scroll through the converted tab to see the notes of the guitar tab. You can transpose the tab to a different key using the scroll wheel in the upper right corner. The number in the scroll wheel indicates the number of half-steps the pitch will be transposed.
Tabs must indicate the note of the guitar string at the beginning of each line. Tab to Notes takes into consideration alternate guitar tunings and will still display the correct notes as long as the beginning of the line indicates a note.
