This game is for all ages and abilities wishing to improve their knowledge, word and maths skills regardless of how much schooling you have had. After playing SumW0rdZ you will be better at all these skills and gradually get to the top of the class on our Leaderboard.
HOW TO PLAY:
The player chooses a difficulty level depending on how good they think they are at maths. During play, a word is displayed from a theme they have selected (e.g. Popular Words, Capital Cities, etc.) from a large list of themes.
Each letter tile of the word displayed has a value. The player uses their arithmetical skills to calculate this value by combining each dice as many times as they wish to create the number on one tile at a time. Once a tile value is calculated, the dice combination on the screen changes and the player uses these new dice to calculate the next number on any of the tiles they choose until all the letters of the word are obtained. Once completed, another word is displayed from the same theme. Each game is comprised of 4 words.
After each word is completed, a score is calculated based on the time saved (TIME BONUS), the arithmetical operators used (BODMAS) and getting each letter correct each time (MULTIPLIER). This score, if high enough, in each scoring category will get the player a Medal (Bronze for Easy, Silver for Medium or Gold for Hard) or else if a low score is obtained then a Lollipop is awarded! The 4 words could get the player 4 medals or 4 Lollipops or a mixture of both. In addition, the individual word scores shown during play are totalled at the end of a game to give a Grand Total.
The total of all the players medals are added to the players Medal Board in STATS and also displayed in a LEADERBOARD for each game level as a Ranking under the players username. Furthermore, each time the player gets 4 medals in one game their SHIELD count is incremented by one. And, everytime a player completes a Theme their TROPHY count is incremented by one when they have obtained a medal for every word in the list and corrected any lollipop words. At which point their Lollipop Trophy count reduces by one to match. So, a player can be a WINNER at many levels on the STATS LEADERBOARD.
In addition, their Highest Game score is also displayed in STATS and on the LEADERBOARD for each gaming level, so the player can see their Ranking compared to every player in the World to see who is best and how they are improving and moving up the League table!
To get the best scores, you must use lots of combinations of the arithmetical operators (i.e. +, -, ÷, ×) and you get even more points for using the multiply (×) and divide (÷) more times than plus (+) or minus (-). These symbols are considered more challenging and powerful when you master them and we think are deserving of top marks!
During play, there is a Letter ‘Credit’ Bank that allows the player to stay on course and complete the Word within a specified time by activating the ‘Credit’ button and touching the letter or letters on the screen whose number value or values they are struggling to get. This can be used until they are more proficient and they have improved their number skills so they then only use it sparingly.
There is also a list of Dice combinations players can choose at the start of a Game to see if they can identify a combination that will help them better their scores until they exceed that of their friends and competitors and improve their Ranking.
Some themes have an information board displayed after each word telling them something about the word. So, you Look and Learn and Play and Calculate all in 1 game – have FUN!

C(4) = 4 or 2×2 or 3+5÷5
A(11) = 4+4+3 or 5×2+(2÷2) or 4×2+3
T(19) = 5×4-(5÷5) or 4²+3 or 5×3+4
