‘갯벌키퍼스’ 온라인 플랫폼은 현장을 기반으로 표준화된 과학적인 모니터링 방법을 적용하여 개발되었으며, 갯벌생태계를 관찰하고 기록한 결과 역시 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 바로 확인할 수 있습니다.
전국 갯벌지역에서 시민조사자들이 자발적으로 진행하는 모니터링 데이터가 ‘갯벌키퍼스’ 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 축적됩니다. 축적된 모니터링 결과를 통해 각 지역의 다양한 갯벌 생물종 현황, 종 다양성, 서식지 변화, 위협요인 등 갯벌에 대한 다양한 정보를 시민의 힘으로 확보하게 됩니다. 이러한 데이터는 장기적으로 각 생물종들과 서식환경 간의 생태학적 연계성(Ecological Linkage), 기후변화가 갯벌 생물에 미치는 영향 등 시민들이 필요로 하는 다양한 각도에서 자료를 분석할 수 있게 됩니다. 또한 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 조사 현장에서 실시간으로 전문가의 도움을 받을 수 있습니다.
