Official application of COLLEGE NATIONAL ORTHODOXE – Saint Elie – El Mina

The mobile application is designed for both teachers and parents. It is main objective is to leverage the communication between parents and school staff.

The parent interface in the mobile application keeps parents up-to-date with the latest informations and news from the school. Parents can also check daily diary, exams, weeks evaluation and payments of their children. And this via a simple and intuitive user interface. Additionally, parents can also participate to surveys organized by the school and communicate in a secure way with all teachers and school staff. A community forum is also available in the application which allows parents to share their experience and discuss various subjects.

The teacher interface of the mobile application allows teachers to add daily diary, exam and weeks evaluation of their students. They can also discuss with students parents in a secure way. Additionally, teachers can send and receives messages from the school direction. They can also participates to surveys organized by the school.

All communications between parents/school are done using remote push notification.
The application also features a notification center that contains all news and informations related to students and teachers.

Finally, the application features an online store managed completely by the school administration that allows parents and teachers to book products directly from the application.

Events such as School Shootings, Bombings (ex: 2013 Boston Marathon),
Homicides, Abductions, etc. reveal prior behavior patterns leading up to the
act that if relayed to the proper authorities could allow the prevention or
interdiction of those meaning harm.

We Have Eyes allows citizens, students, parents, etc. to post an “Eye”
containing this information. This could include descriptions of the
situation, images/videos, links to suspect social media and much more.
Furthermore, in the event Authorities needed additional information, a
dialogue can occur between the poster and all Personnel involved.

Posting an “Eye” to the network, can provide critical information/leads for
situations such as:

-Suspicious Packages/Activities
-On site threat (active shooter, hostage situation, etc.)
-Vehicle Accidents
-Weather events
-Campus intruders
-Stalkers
-Kidnappings
-Terrorist Threats

Every year in early spring, toads, frogs and newts migrate to their spawning grounds. Amphibious fences on the streets protect them from traffic. Many volunteers collect the amphibians and carry them across the road to their waters.
For purposes of statistics, the amphibians are classified and counted. Since I myself am one of these volunteer helpers, I developed this app.
In the app you can define a maximum of 6 objects in a table that you want to count. The objects must have a unique name and can be changed in their order.
By activating the GPS function, the position and time of the first and last counted object are additionally recorded.
The result can be transmitted directly from the app as an email.
Of course, besides the toads, any other objects (e.g., vehicles, visitors) may be classified and counted.
