The Ukiah Police Department is a professional organization with well-trained officers and staff who are committed to providing public safety services to the residents and visitors of Ukiah. Our officers serve by patrolling the city and by responding to calls for police service, performing crime prevention activities, conducting investigations, promoting traffic safety, and apprehending offenders.
Our Communications Center handles all 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for the City of Ukiah and City of Fort Bragg Police Departments, provides after-hours dispatching services for Electric, Water, Wastewater and other City of Ukiah services, and makes emergency notifications to the community.
We work in partnership with the community to reduce and prevent crime and improve quality of life, and continue to expand those partnerships to address community problems collaboratively. It is through these collaborative efforts we will achieve the best solutions and outcomes for issues facing our community.

being WHOLE combines biofeedback in the form of a heart rate monitor, visual mindfulness, and behavioral interventions to help individuals who are feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, depressed and overall unsettled in life. The app starts by rating a person’s level of discomfort and having them identify how they are feeling. They are then asked to engage in biofeedback as to collect their pulse. Participants will engage in a visual mindfulness activity, which will range in duration from 3 minutes, 5 minutes or 7 minutes (based on their selection). Upon completion they will have their heart rate assessed a second time to determine whether the intervention was effective.
After the mindfulness activity they’ll be given the opportunity to identify a behavioral intervention that will help them decrease the feeling of distress in their life. Completion fo each task will result in rubies which they can use to help unlock additional mindfulness puzzles.
