Ever since the shogun came into power, the progress and prosperity of your village has not only been held back, but all the important work your father did during his rule has been undone as well. A world that was once colorful and vibrant, has now become dulled as seen through the retro graphics. The old school look and feel is great for gameplay, but to live in that world every day is another story. The shogun claims he was sent from the heavens, and therefore has a claim to rule.
His magical abilities shift space and time and can make the largest armies vanish. Our hero learned this the hard way as his attempted coup was finished as quickly as it started. He saw his closest friends and allies disappear before his eyes. What spells did this shogun have? How did he get them?
This question remained unanswered until one night, our hero broke into the shogun’s castle to find his own answers while the shogun was asleep. There were no guards to be found. He uncovered an ancient magical scroll. This was the source of the shogun’s power. Our hero knew that he had to get the scroll as far away from the shogun as possible.
After stealing the scroll, the shogun awoke and sensed that his power was diminishing little by little. Our hero was able to get in, but will he be able to get out? The shogun summoned a series of traps mixed with a little bit of his dimensional magic throughout his castle. The shogun teleported our hero away from any safe path to gauntlets of flying blocks and spikes.
As our hero moves farther and farther through the castle, the traps only become more treacherous. At the same time, the scroll weakens in power and releases stardust that can grant our hero the ability to bring back his allies one by one.
