Formed in 1947, EasyPark was originally owned and managed by an early version of the neighbourhood Business Improvement Association (BIA) under the name Downtown Parking Corporation (DPC). In 1954 the company was deeded to the City of Vancouver. In 2001, the company underwent an extensive rebranding process and was renamed EasyPark.
