The MIRS demonstrator is a Mobile Infra Red Spectrometer pre-calibrated to measure specific solid materials. Based on a reflectance measurement, the MIRS device measures the spectral information of the material under test. The raw data is transmitted to the app and visualised graphically. The output is a comparative measurement and material classification relative to a predefined data base.
