How it works
GuardOn notifies several responders when a distress alert is raised. These include Trusted Contacts, First Responders and Guardian Angels. The responders can collaborate through the built-in communications platform. They can see who else is responding, where they are located, and collaborate with them so that together they can overwhelm the perpetrator of the crime.
Guardian Angels, Trusted Contacts and First Responders
Guardian Angels are GuardOn community members who have volunteered to help others who are in distress. Trusted Contacts are your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors whom you have configured in your GuardOn application to receive your distress and/or check in notifications. First Responders include Police, Firemen and Emergency Medical Technicians.

GuardOn gives you the following capabilities to get you help quickly if your safety or life is in danger:
• Safety Alert: Get help quickly from Police and Guardian Angels when your safety is threatened and you are in danger. Also, notify your Trusted Contacts immediately
• Medical Alert: Get help quickly from Emergency Medical Technicians and Guardian Angels when your life is in danger due to a sudden medical emergency. Also, notify your Trusted Contacts immediately
• Roadside Assistance: Your vehicle breaks down and you need roadside assistance. GuardOn gets you help quickly from Guardian Angels and professional companies. Also, notify your Trusted Contacts immediately
• Distress Alerts Feed: What kind of safety and medical distress alerts were raised by GuardOn users in your neighborhood, community and city? Who raised those distresses? Who responded to those distresses? What was communicated during those distresses?
• Respond to Distress Alerts: Notifications are sent to you if you are one of the Trusted Contacts, or if you are one of the Guardian Angels or First Responders in the vicinity of the distress alert. You will see the location of the alert, who raised the alert, when was it raised, what type of alert it is, how much reward if any is being offered for rescue, and you get directions to the distress location through your favorite navigation app. You will also see who else is responding to the distress alert, who they are, and you will be able to communicate and collaborate with them to help the person under distress
• Communicate during Distress: Use the built-in communication platform to send and receive text, images, audio and video to and from your responders
