Cameras – Jan-Peter Schmidt

Cameras is an app for a clear presentation of several WLan cameras. Tap on a camera to enlarge it. Any number of cameras can be configured and displayed via URL. In addition, it is always possible to save a screenshot of the overview or the currently enlarged camera in the photo library of the device in a separate album.

The target audience for my app are people who have one or more WLAN cameras that can be accessed through the network stream.

There is no server on which any camera images are uploaded. The displayed images are live streamed by the cameras. It is possible to take screenshots of all displayed images or the selected image. These screenshots are stored in the Photo Library of the iOS device in a separate album after the user has confirmed the access.

Fees are only for the network connection itself – WLAN is usually free, otherwise charges for data transmission over the mobile network.

The user can configure the livestreams via “Edit” to his desired cameras. For example, some livestreams are configured for public cameras. However, only basic authentication of access to the cameras via the URL is supported, as long as the camera supports it.
