Breathe 11:11 – Bodhisattva, LLC

Description

Breathe 11:11 is an app that explores the many facets of the 11:11 phenomenon. App users will hear a custom chime at 11:11 am and/or pm. When they hear the chime, they are encouraged to take a deep breath, make a wish and connect with others around the world who will be doing the same thing at the same time.  This simple yet profound mini-meditation is intended to turn a user’s phone into a powerful tool to counteract the fear and division that permeates our culture. It serves as a reminder to stay positive and on course, working for the life that we want for ourselves and others. At any given hour, it is 11:11 somewhere in the world.  Millions of people around the world are already noticing the repeating number pattern of 11:11 and instinctively feel there is magic and synchronicity associated with it (one high-profile example is Ellen DeGeneres’ who named her record label “eleveneleven”) This app serves to accelerate that magic.  We intend to launch the app with a global media campaign to be conducted by social-impact communications firm Ripple Strategies.

The app functions in the following ways:

— The app allows users to set a custom chime as a reminder of when it’s 11:11 in the user’s time zone or any time zone in the world. This allows users across the world to have a shared experience with friends, family and others that virtually all beta testers have described as positive.

— The app allows users to set a personalized notification which will pop up at 11:11. This serves as an affirmation of whatever the user wants to be reminded of at 11:11.

— We are offering a professionally produced podcast with frequently updated interviews (conducted by former New York Times contributor Shayna Samuels) with numerologists, psychologists, artists, physicists, mystics and everyday people who have incredible stories to share. Episode 1 introduces the concept of Breathe 11:11 to users. Episode 2 explores 11/11 in China – known as National Singles Day, as well as the world’s largest online shopping day. In Episode 3 Dr. Felicia Bender, PhD teaches us about master numbers and why 11 is considered to be one. Episode 4 is an interview with an artist who created the award-winning Anthem Veterans Memorial in Anthem, Arizona, through which the sun’s rays shine perfectly at 11:11am on November 11 every year. Episode 5 is an interview with Professor BJ Fogg, who is a Stanford University behavior scientist and expert in teaching people how to create new, positive habits in their life. His methodology is called Tiny Habits, and in this podcast we hear his advice, based on his many years of experience and in-depth research, on how we can make the most of the Breathe 11:11 experience to have a long-lasting impact in our lives.

— The app has a built-in voice recorder which allows users to record and upload their 11:11 stories for us to use in our podcasts. We are discovering that there many remarkable stories that are waiting to be told.
