The soul…
On a treasure hunt
Of forms, beautiful and sacred;
Bewitching and beckoning A cosmic dance empowering;
Balance! Says the Swastik The Srivatsa teasingly transforms;
Removing the insecurities The Kalash silently protects;
Ushering in success and joy With Nandavarta – the multiplier;
No place now for blockages, Laugh the Twin Fish, sliding them away;
As the building blocks fall into place Strength! Commands the Sampusht;
Now beckons the crystal seat With the stability of the Bhadrasan;
And the search culminates In the clarity of the Darpan;
Such is the soul’s journey
Of forms – beautiful and sacred; Each one unfolding, each one empowering In the cosmic becoming.
THE GOAL
What meditation is, depends on the goal of the meditator. This may be detachment from thoughts, the visualization of material and spiritual success, focus on shunya or the void, cessation of mental Ashtamangal Meditation, the goal is “akushal vritti nirodha,” which means to erase harmful energy pattern and come into a state of purity and abundance.
