Trip Reader uses iPhone’s internal NFC reader to get balance and history from public transit cards issued across China. No Internet or Bluetooth is needed.
Main functions:
• Balance and history
• Show metro station names (some cities)
• Show monthly discount policy and progress (some cities)
• Show bus route number (some cities)
Cards have been tested:
• Beijing: Hutong Card (京津冀互联互通卡) (non T-Union cards not supported)
• Tianjin, Nanjing, Suzhou: T-Union Card (non T-Union cards not supported)
• Shanghai: Purple card, T-Union Debut Card
• Kunshan: Kunshan Citizen Card (昆通卡)
• Guangzhou: Yang Cheng Tong (羊城通) (including T-Union version)
• Foshan: Guang Fo Tong (广佛通)
• Shenzhen: Shenzhen Tong (深圳通) (including T-Union version)
These cards may also work but have not been tested:
• Other single-module T-Union cards (Dual-module cards also works but may show T-Union history only)
• Other Lingnan Pass cards
Note: Student cards, senior cards etc. are not supported.
Cities can show metro station names:
• Beijing (T-Union card only)
